The trick is going to be keeping everyone on the administration’s side while the process unfolds, so that populist anger or some foolish Congressional act don’t blow up this plan or prevent subsequent necessary steps. The salesmanship, so far, has been wanting.

But it's picking up, and the press conference tonight will be worth watching (yes, I'll live-blog).
