Progress in making a gel to prevent HIV transmission. It is applied to the vagina. They never bothered to do this for gay men when it could have mattered. Because gay sex is to be discouraged and stigmatized rather than made less dangerous. And barebacking, while scandalous for sero-concordant gays, is mandatory Catholic doctrine for straights.
