The Journolist

I guess my position is Ramesh's. I belong to an email list-serv - of writers and activists who are concerned about gay rights and who don't hew to the left-liberal identity politics of the Democratic party establishment. It helps me understand some of the debates more deeply and also allows us to air ideas and arguments that might not even be blog-ready. What on earth is wrong with that? Yes, there's a certain Ezra-smugness to the whole Journo-list thing, and some MSM reporters might not want their fig leaves flapping in the wind. But seriously. Who cares? And, yes, the daily Emanuel-Carville-Begala-Stephanopoulos circle-jerk is creepier.
