Liddy Dole's "Godless" Ad

Her former campaign manager, in a fascinating piece, explains why he went for the "Hail Mary" pass in a doomed campaign. No one can say he had no ethics or morals:

The first draft of the “Godless” ad had a picture of Kay Hagan at theend with a graphic that read “What was she thinking?” and a voiceoverthat said “There is no God.” I objected to that because it looked likewe were answering the question for her, and that she was thinking thereis no God. The group agreed. The next version dropped the graphic, butstill had the voice saying, “There is no God.”
