If you knew, as I do, some of the senators who voted for the same sex marriage bill yesterday, it would bring tears to your eyes. There are conservative Democrats and conservative Republicans who were profoundly moved by the testimony that they heard from their neighbors about why marriage equality is simply the right thing to do.
