Ayers is repellent. It's awful that Obama kept company with him. And yes it's true his characterization of the relationship is less than forthright. Still, in the midst of today's financial panic, I cannot help thinking that trying to win this election by hitting this theme is a little like Herbert Hoover trying to save himself in 1932 by pointing out that Gov.
