Ah, yes:

Isn't Socrates (whose writings we only have through Plato) generally considered a much better logician than rhetorician?

The Socratic critique of the Sophists was that their philosophy was overly dependent on rhetorical flourishes, with little underlying logical bedrock. I personally would have gone with "makes Dan Quayle look like Cicero." But what do I know? I'm just a campus Marxist terrorist.

But then:

That was the single worst piece of op-ed writing I've ever had the displeasure of reading. Obama beat Clinton because patriarchal Eastern societies favor male babies? Right ...
