Goldfarb, McCain and Torture

Reihan defends Goldfarb. I don't think anyone is saying that McCain does not have the right to hire whomever he wants to. Or that Goldfarb, whom I do not know, has skills in communication. But it is surely relevant that McCain has hired someone who mocks tortured prisoners and a believer that the president as commander-in-chief has "near-dictatorial" powers in national security. Put torture and near-dictatorship together and the mix is not just about "flame-throwing."
