Predicting West Virginia

Using demography, 538 foresees a a Clinton victory by 39 points and 105,000 votes. But this isn't news:

No, Barack Obama won't carry West Virginia against John McCain. And yes, Hillary Clinton very well might. But this has been an open secret since at least February, when SurveyUSA polling showed Barack Obama trailing John McCain by 18 in West Virginia, and Hillary Clinton leading him by 5.
