Read your Florida email. I'll chime in. On the phone yesterday with my father, Marine Corps officer, Goldwater Republican through and through. He's ranting so hard about how our dependence on oil has totally warped our foreign policy that all I can think to do is send him a Rage Against the Machine album. (It was back in the Fifties, when he was at Ranger School in the South, that he discovered R&B. Between his love of Otis Reading, James Brown, and Al Green, and his current state of agitation, I betcha he'll dig RATM.)

Something's stirring out there.
