JOIN THE CONVERSATION JULY 2ND WHEN THE BLOG GOES LIVE FROM ASPEN!

While tickets to the Festival are no longer available, we invite you to join the conversation and share in the celebration of ideas July 2-8. Join us in the exchange of ideas by visiting the Atlantic@Aspen blog created by The Atlantic’s editors, including James Bennet, Clive Crook and Ross Douthat.

For the third year, The Atlantic and the Aspen Institute will host the
Aspen Ideas Festival
in the idyllic setting of Aspen, Colorado July 2-8, 2007.

The Ideas Festival gathers scientists, politicians, entrepreneurs, academics, business leaders, religious figures, and others for conversation and debate over the course of a single week.  Participants contribute provocative ideas from their fields, and discuss the world, both as it is and as it might become.

This year’s conversations will cover a myriad of thought provoking subjects such as global economic integration, contemporary politics and Shakespeare, the future of the American workforce, media and the loss of self-esteem, the politics of science, alternative models of education, China and the environment, eradicating poverty in the city, hybrid cars and hydrogen, American competitiveness, the future of the European Union, expanding U.S. healthcare access, early childhood development, species depletion and many others.
