Black Friday shoppers spent an average of $191 on Black Friday 2010, according to data shared with The Atlantic from Mint.com. The cities at the top of the list are, not surprisingly, among the nation's highest-earning cities: New York City, San Francisco, San Jose, Dallas, and Los Angeles round out the top five.
The infographic from Mint is useful and often surprising -- Cincinnati spends as much as Las Vegas? -- but it's not comprehensive. For example, it doesn't include Washington, D.C., or Boston, which include some of the nation's richest counties in the country.
