What's Your Productivity Secret?

By Derek Thompson

We asked you to tell us what people don't get about your job. You told us. We asked you to share stories about your job search. You told us, again. Thank you!

We have another request.

Tell us your secret to being more productive -- at work, at home, or in life. Is it a wall of Post-its, a simple notepad, a special stretch, a lucky breakfast, a software program? We all have our own efficiency schemes, our personal life hacks. We're always trying to add more. Some work. Some don't. What's worked best for you? (Using the Internet to catch a breakĀ  officially counts.)

Email us at aboutmyjob1@gmail.com, or write your response in the comment section below to be published in the weeks ahead. We want this to be a super-servicey crowd-sourced project. The more you write, the more I'll publish, and the more you'll learn from other people. If you feel okay revealing your line of work, that will help readers (like you) shift through the responses when I publish them.

Thanks again.

Optional sub-category: If you're a Post-it fiend, show us your desk! I'm a moderate abuser of the Post-it. I also tape loose paper to the wall behind my computer, because it stays better and you can write more on the paper. To wit:
