... They all require deep math background.

Software engineers, mathematicians, actuaries statistician and computer analysts are the five best jobs in America, according to a new widely CareerCast survey that also ranks newspaper reporters #188 out of 200. By contrast, court reporter (stenographer) finishes above pharmacist, the highest paying job on the list.

Tied with pharmacist for highest paying job is petroleum engineer at $109,000. The lowest paying position is dishwasher, at $18,000; but at #167, they still have better jobs than newspaper reporters.

The "worst" job according to the survey is roustabout.
