Jobs Data Worse Than Expected
ByIt's not all beer and skittles in economic indicator land: ADP's employment report apparently reports a decline of nearly 370,000 jobs, about 40,000 more than expected. Unemployment will continue to rise even as the economy recovers--at least if history is any guide. But it is also tied to economic performance--people who lose their jobs don't buy much. So unhappy surprises are still pretty worrying.
