Leading Minds Discuss World Issues at the Aspen Ideas Festival

Over the past eight years, The Atlantic and the Aspen Institute have brought some of the world's most inspiring and provocative minds together for the Aspen Ideas Festival. This year was no different.

2012's roster of speakers included designer Tory Burch, model and activist Lauren Bush, BET CEO Debra Lee, retired General Stanley A. Chrystal, former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, Charlie Rose, Anne Marie Slaughter, Moby, Google Chairman Eric Schmidt, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, and Barbara Streisand. Speakers and Festival-goers discussed proposals--ranging from the big to modest--for making the world a better place.
