At the end of each Atlantic Online article, you'll find three icons that look like this:

Clicking on each of these icons will provide you with new ways to save our content and share it with others. Below is a summary of how each feature works. Visit the individual sites to learn more and to sign up for their free services.

Digg (www.digg.com)

Users of Digg submit articles, images, and other content from across the Web. After you submit an Atlantic article to Digg, others can rank it according to their levels of interest. Giving an article a “digg” boosts it to a higher spot on the page, while articles with few “diggs” eventually fade from sight. Users can also post comments and see detailed voting statistics for each story.

Del.icio.us (www.del.icio.us)

Del.icio.us allows you to neatly file away articles you want to be able to find again. After reading a story online, you can use Del.icio.us to tag it with your own keywords. An article on French wine could be labeled with the words “wine” and “France”; a feature story about Roe v. Wade could be tagged with the terms “abortion” and “Supreme Court.” These tags function as bookmarks, making it easy for you to relocate anything you've read. In addition to helping you keep track of your own favorite stories, Del.icio.us allows you to view other users' tags, helping you find articles on topics that interest you.

Reddit (www.reddit.com)

Like Digg, this online forum gives readers a chance to rate articles from across the World Wide Web. You can submit any Atlantic story to Reddit and share your comments, along with a thumbs-up or thumbs-down rating. Other users will join you in posting their reactions to the piece. Reddit will also use your ratings to determine your tastes and recommend content elsewhere on the Web.
